The Kalamazoo Environmental Council invites you to attend the Annual Legislative Breakfast on Monday morning, March 20, at the Kalamazoo Nature Center. This is a great opportunity for some face-to-face conversation with those who represent us in Lansing and Washington, DC, about how to better protect Michigan’s abundant natural resources to enhance our current well-being (and that of our feathered friends!) and to ensure those benefits for those who will come after us. Invited to participate in the discussion are State Senator Margaret O’Brien, State Representatives Beth Griffin, Brandt Iden, David Maturen, and Jon Hoadley, as well as legislative staff for US Representative Fred Upton and US Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters. A panel discussion will be followed with time for questions from the audience. Come at 7:30 AM for socializing with a light breakfast of coffee, tea, juice, and bagels. The discussion will run from 8:00-9:30 AM. This is a FREE EVENT, but your small donation at the door will help cover expenses. Your RSVP will be appreciated, as it will ensure we have seating and food for everyone. Please email your NAME, ORGANIZATION, and PHONE number to firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a voice message at 269-388-3777.
