The park is located on M-96  ½ mile east of the Village of Augusta. Meet at the Jackson Hole Lake parking lot. To reach the parking lot, after the entrance take the first right and then the first left; the lot is at the end of the road.
We will walk the trail past the group campground looking for waterfowl and any early migrants. Target birds will be ducks, wood-peckers including red-headed, kinglets, Hermit Thrush, Yellow-rumped Warblers, sparrows, and blackbirds. The walk is mostly flat, but if we decide to take the entire walk around the lake there may be a few uphill spots. Bring binoculars and field guides. A scope will be available for all to use. This walk should last about two hours
