We celebrate another year of great programs, fellowship,
and experiences with nature, in particular the beautiful and
entertaining birds that beautify and enliven our lives. The
Annual Meeting of the Audubon Society of Kalamazoo will
be held on Monday, May 18 (one week before Memorial
Day), at the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery.

On M-43, go six miles west of US-131 and turn left (south)
onto Fish Hatchery Road. Turn right (west) into the visitor
parking lot – the second drive you come to – after one-tenth of
a mile.
As usual, the evening will include a potluck dinner
(please bring a dish to share, your beverage, and your own
plates and table setting) and a quick handling of ASK business
including election of officers for our next year. In
addition to the usual, we are taking the opportunity of
celebrating with local artist Amelia Hansen, who has been
awarded the 2015 International Migratory Bird Day poster
prize (see our field trip to Asylum Lake Preserve under Field Trips
and an article about Amelia under Recent Posts).

The Fish Hatchery will be open to welcome us as early
as 5 PM. Of course the Hatchery grounds are open to birders
and strollers earlier. Our potluck dinner will begin at 6 PM,
business session at 6:45, and on to our brief program at 7:30 PM.
