Topic Notes from the Front Lines of the Climate Fight

Bill McKibben, America’s leading activist today on climate change, will speak at Miller Auditorium at WMU on Thursday, October 10, at 7:00 PM. This program is free but does require pre-registration, which is now open, at www.wmich.edu/humanities/events/bill-mckibben.html. McKibben is the founder of 350.org and the author of The End of Nature, a prophetic book on climate change first published almost 25 years ago. His new book, Oil and Honey: The Education of an Unlikely Activist, will be coming out this summer. This program is sponsored by the Kalamazoo Nature Center, the Western Michigan University Center for the Study of Humanities, the People’s Food Co-op, and Kalamazoo Area Wild Ones.
