Join birding enthusiast Russ Schipper from the Audubon Society of Kalamazoo as he provides a FREE introduction to birding! Learn how to identify birds by characteristics, behavior and the use of a field guide.
Gain a better understanding of bird habitat, great areas for birding in Michigan and how to get connected with area Audubon Clubs.
Fort Custer Recreation Area is home to a wide variety of unique bird species, making it an excellent birding location. Join us as we explore the park, enjoy the tranquility of nature and seek out some beautiful birds.

We will meet at 9:00AM at the Whitford Lake Picnic Shelter.

A Recreation Passport is required to enter the park.
