Join us for a chance to see and learn about our native
spring wildflowers that grow along the trail. You will also
learn about the threats to the survival of this wonderful
spring flora. No prior knowledge is required – only an
interest in the natural world and the environment. If you do
have a wildflower field guide, bring it! Round trip is
maximum two miles and the walking is easy, as the trail is
paved and flat. Bring insect repellent in case it is buggy.
Each walk will be held rain or shine, and will take about
1.5 hours. Since the walks are on different sections of the
trail, there will be some variation in what flowers are seen.
Where: Meet at the 10th Street parking lot near the
caboose (two miles north of West Main).
Who: All ages, but children under age 16 must be
accompanied by an adult.
