The Kalamazoo County Parks Department is once
again partnering with the Audubon Society of
Kalamazoo in July for a chance to see and learn about our
native wildflowers that grow along the trail. You will
also learn about the threats to the survival of this
wonderful summer flora. No prior knowledge is
required – only an interest in the natural world and
the environment. If you do have a wildflower field
guide, bring it! Round trip is maximum two miles
and the walking is easy, as the trail is paved and flat.
Bring insect repellent in case it is buggy. Each walk
will be held rain or shine, and will take about 1.5
hours.
Where: Meet at Markin Glen County Park at 5300
North Westnedge (park fee waived for participants).
Who: All ages, but children under age 16 must be
accompanied by an adult.
Sign-Up: For registration or questions, please call
