Since 1927 when the WK Kellogg Bird Sanctuary was established, it has been a refuge for wildlife, a safe place for visitors to explore nature, and base for research and education. Join Lisa Duke, Sanctuary Manager, as she shares the history of how this special place came to be and its conservation history with CanadaGeese andTrumpeterSwans. Learn more about the Sanctuary of today and plans for the future!

Lisa Duke joined the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary in May 2012,as the Animal Caretaker and transitioned to Sanctuary Manager in 2014. Lisa has a BS in Zoology from Michigan State University with a concentration in Zoo and Aquarium Science. Lisa has a love of the outdoors and all animals found in it. She resides in Battle Creek, Michigan, with her husband and sons.
