Meet on the top floor of the Kalamazoo Mall Parking Ramp #3. Enter the ramp from Portage Road, just south of Michigan Avenue.

Peregrine Falcons have nested in downtown Kalamazoo for the past three years. Join Jim on the top floor of the Kalamazoo Mall Parking Ramp to scan the skies for America’s fastest falcon. Based on last year’s observations, participants may see views of the birds flying over the Kalamazoo skyline, perched on high buildings, or with possible courtship behavior.

Parking fees are based on visit duration. Binoculars recommended. A spotting scope will be available for participants. If it’s a sunny day, it can be bright on the top deck of the parking ramp with no shade, so bring a hat or sunglasses if desired. This is public school spring break week and a great kid activity.
