Planning programs for the 2021-2022 program year has been a challenge as Covid protocols remained fluid and our host, The People’s Church, worked through their meeting policies well into August. Therefore, we thought we’d try something a little different for this year’s September kick-off meeting. We hope you’ll join us at the Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery on Monday, September 27, at 6:00 PM for an outdoor social gathering (snacks only, no coffee/tea/water) and meeting, followed by a walk at the hatchery in search of fall migrants. We haven’t met in person since February of 2020, and we’ve taken a break from most organized field trips since then. This will provide both an opportunity to gather in person AND to see some birds. There will be an opportunity for members to share their best bird sightings during the past 18 months, so bring those stories with you. Also, there is limited seating outdoors at the hatchery, so consider bringing a chair if standing is not an option for you. Note: the earlier meeting time is so that we can meet and have time to see birds before sunset. As always, please be mindful of recommended Covid precautions when attending any ASK event. Rain Date: Tuesday, September 28.
