Meet at the Chevy Chase entrance to the preserve at 8:00 AM. From the corner of Parkview Street/Whites Road and Oakland Drive, go north on Oakland Drive about a half mile and turn right (east) on Chevy Chase Blvd. The entrance is just around the corner at the guardrail; park along the road. Kleinstuck Preserve is one of the most exciting places in Kalamazoo to observe warblers, and up to 15 different types may be observed in mid-May. Additionally, we may see different vireos, thrushes, and other spring migrants. Bring binoculars, field guide, and insect repellant.

While we may bird until noon,  anyone with a time crunch can return to the parking area on their own.
