Field trips leave promptly at the listed times.

Meet at 10:00 AM in the parking lot at Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery. On M-43, go six miles west of US-131 and turn left (south) onto Fish Hatchery Road. Turn right (west) into the visitor parking lot – the second drive you come to – after one-tenth of a mile. Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery has wide trails meandering around large and small ponds, which attract lots of birds. This place is one of the hotspots to bird in Van Buren County. We will walk no more than two miles around the hatchery’s ponds, viewing waterfowl and searching for other bird life. The trip will be about two hours. Bring a scope if you have one, and dress for the weather.
