Sunday, March 26, 8:00 AM, Lakeshore Birding, St. Joseph, Leaders: Susan Creager and Kent Martin (256) 751-3358

Meet us at the Park & Ride at Oakland Drive and I-94 at 8:00 AM, or at Tiscornia Park, St. Joseph, Michigan, at 9:15 AM. We will stop at Caffè Tosi for coffee on our way to the lakeshore and expect to be at Tiscornia Park by 9:15 AM.

We will scan the lakeshore area for waterfowl including ducks and grebes. Common Loons, Horned Grebes, and scoter species are a possibility, along with a raptor or two. Tiscornia Park has a paved parking lot, with access to the north pier via concrete sidewalks. If necessary, we may walk a bit of the beach, which may include soft sand. We may also stop at one or more overlooks along Lakeshore Drive on the south side of St. Joseph for additional views of the lake, with paved parking and grassy viewing areas expected. Dress warmly – it can be quite cold along the shore, as the wind is usually a factor.

Caffè Tosi: 516 Pleasant Street, St. Joseph, MI 49085; opens at 8 AM.

Tiscornia Park: 80 Ridgeway Street, St. Joseph, MI 49085; parking fee may be required.
