Events Single Title Field Trip - Asylum Lake Preserve
–
April 27, 2024
Join us and enjoy a Spring stroll through Asylum Lake Preserve, one of Kalamazoo’s favorite walking locations. We will explore a mix of woodland and meadow edges in search of local and migrant species, with the expectation of viewing early warbler, vireo, thrush, sparrow, and flycatcher species, alongside the fresh colors of Spring. Meet at the Northeast Trail entrance along Winchell Avenue (3702-3716 Winchell Ave, Kalamazoo 49008). Please Note: Parking is allowed only on the south side of Winchell Avenue. Trails will be a mix of gravel, dirt, and grass with gentle slopes. There are several large steps to climb at the beginning of the walk.
