ASK Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Committee Forming – Volunteers Needed

May 26, 2021

The ASK Board is committed to serving a membership that is as diverse as the birds that our organization reveres. To make that commitment a reality, the board is forming a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. We hope to involve voices of as many underrepresented groups as possible: LGBTQ+, differently-abled, youth, people of color, and others. If you feel your voice would provide important perspective, please consider joining. The committee will determine the time commitment, but it is likely that more time will be required up-front developing goals and strategies as well as a plan for implementation. Covid protocols will be considered when determining if committee meetings will be held in person or via Zoom. If interested in joining, please send an email with your contact information to ask@nullkalamazooaudubon.org and include “DEI Committee” in the subject line. Thank you!
