Events Single Title Great Backyard Bird Count - Upjohn Park

February 17, 2024

One of two "Great Backyard Bird Counts" that ASK is leading this year. The other count will be held at Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery as part of the Birds & Blooms event. You can find out more about that event here.

The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is an annual worldwide effort to connect people with birds – see https://www.birdcount.org/ for additional information. (This year’s event spans February 16-19.) We will meet in the Nicholas Kik Pool parking lot at Upjohn Park to participate by counting and reporting birds in one or two nearby locations. An introduction to the Merlin and eBird phone apps will be included. Dress appropriately! Hot drinks and pastries will be provided.
