Peregrine Falcon Website: Please Help with a Donation

March 25, 2024
Many ASK members and friends in the community enjoy and follow the Kalamazoo Peregrine Falcon Cam every year during nesting season. The website went live in 2015 thanks to donations from our members, the community, and sponsors. The site’s purpose was (and is) to provide a platform for education and a vehicle to host the Falcon Cam. ASK is grateful and fortunate that our board member and friend, Gail Walter, has led this program for many years. Gail and several dedicated volunteers have shared our falcons’ joys and sometimes sorrows with the public through the website and social media. These charismatic creatures have been, for many in our community, a source of great interest and enjoyment and, for some, a gateway to birds and birding.
Nine years have flown by, and smartphone and mobile technology have outpaced our current website. Our webmaster, Blue Fire Media, has been a strong partner over the last nine years and has tweaked the site to keep it as functional as possible. But it’s now time for a website revamp.  While we do not usually do mid-year appeals for support for special projects, the board recognizes both the significant expense and the potential community impact of this upgrade. If you would like to help us pay for the updated website, please donate through the Peregrine Falcon website at kalamazoofalcons.com/donate.
Thank you; your continued support and patronage are very appreciated!
